Teddies and Poppies

I just love the way this card turned out. Whilst at Mums I discivered this fantastic corner flower stamp and as poppies are my mums favourite flower it just seemed natural to colour (with trusty promarkers of course - red berry, crimson, holly and leaf green) them as poppies! I used a lovely green velvet card (from Pink Frog) for the background and scalloped oval. Then a lovely tatty ted (coloured again with promarkers - ice grey 2 and pastel blue), a few black pearls and then some glossy accents on the flowers and Tatty's nose. I did the flowers 3d and added on in the top corner.

It's a shame that Mums birthday has passed because it really would be the perfect card for her!

Thanks for looking!

I just love the Tatty Ted stamps so here is another card using the gorgeous papers and hobbycraft border punch. The flowers were made with the x-cut flower punch and embellished with gems and coloured with promarkers. I think these are so gorgeous! Thanks for looking!

This is a really simple card that I made for a friend at work. I have edited the name and date of the Christening for privacy reasons. I used a scalloped edge A5 card and mounted some lovely blue gingham paper (from Boyes) onto it. Then using some blue stamping up card - sorry not sure what the fancy name is - I cut 2 scalloped ovals and a Sizzix teddy. I also cut a white teddy and layered up the nose, paw pads and heart (i also added a heart gem in blue!) I gave him wobbly eyes and added the details of the christening. With a few gems to embellish the corners, it was done!

Getting ready for Christmas! Yes I do know its only May!!!!

here is a very simple matting and layering card using the Forever Friends Christmas stamps. Matt and Layer your card with some backing paper then stamp the topiary tree to one side of a smaller piece of paper then colour. Use a piece of printed vellum over the top, I used one printed with snowflakes, then I stamped the bear and coloured with promarkers and did some homestyle decoupage! Embellish with red and green gems.

Spring Is Here!

This is my quick and simple card for club on Wednesday! We are all making quick and simple cards so heres mine in a spring theme.

First I layered a backing paper from back to basics by dovecraft (I think) onto some coloured card. I cut a 1.5cm strip to go down one edge. Then I used a nestibility to create my back ground and layered up a forever friends bear from the Christmas clear stamp set and coloured with promarkers (apricot, oatmeal and blush for the bear, lilac and grass for the parcel).
I used xcut flower punches to create my flowers usiing a pale yellow and deep purple card stock and finally secured the two flowers together with a frosted brad. These were attached by silicone. And that as they say, except for a few pearls, is that!

Fizzy Moon is Pink and Butterflies!

This is the card I made for my best mate Danni! It's the new fizzy moon stamps with a bit of homestyle decoupage on the feet and flowers. Mounted using nesties, both the same size but off set and the EK butterfly border punch to finish. Can't remember which papers I used but they are fairly recent! And to make the card shape I just sliced off at an angle then folded. Also used half pearls to add some drama to the card.

Origami Butterflies

I made this card for a friend who recently lost her mum.

I used a pearlescent paper in green and purple and a marble effect paper in similar colours. I used the easibox score board to create the octagons and shape for the card, them simply layered up. The butterfly boarder is punched using a ek butterfly border punch and the flowers are a papermania punch. Finally I embellished it with pearls. To make the butterflies use a 2 or 3 inch square and fold diagionally. Crease well. Then fold again to create aright angled triangle. Crease well and unfold this fold only. Then with point facing down, fold up and above first fold made. Finally, make a fold at a 45 degree angle at each side. You need to make two for each butterfly. I got the instructions from a magazine, the new Hunkydory one if it helps.

Cards for the boys

Aren't these great? Thanks Gemma for the fantastic ideas!

Pretty cards

Just some pretty cards to share. Really simple techniques of paper folding fans and matting and layering using the country companions papers and nestibilities.

More matting and layering with Country Companions papers and an x cut corner punch. Add some bling and it's a really simple card! Just loving the seam binding instead of ribbons - so much easier to work with!

Use some scraps cut into triangles to cover a square card, draw on your false stiching and add a topper and embellishments! Simples!

Oops I did it again!

I think I am mad but what do you think? This weekend I have just got two new rabbits, Skye and Pheobe, and a hamster, Cookie. All rescued and adopted of course! Pictures to follow! Now that makes 7 rabbits, Toffee, Smudge, Trixie, Dixie, Jade, Skye and Pheobe and 3 hamsters, Cheryl, Fergie and Cookie!

So - am I mad?????

It's a mans world!

This is one male card that I am really pleased with. The easel style card design is from Making Cards magazine, the stamp is a Kanban one and the papers are from Craft House - Allsorts.
It's really effective and so simple to do.

Sorry Anne!

I would just like to apologise to Anne who I made the stampin up cards with a few blogs ago! I misspelt her name, it is Anne not Ann! At least it was a spelling mistake and not rude! LOL!

Half Term!

At last! Time I can finally blog again!

This is the Valentines card I made for my Hubby.

It was so quick and simple I nearly felt guilty but am already planning some birthday cards in this style, and although its still early, maybe a few Christmas cards as well.

So what did I do -

I used the Country Companions paper set and the heart corner punch from x-cut. I simply mounted onto a 14.5cm x 14.5cm card a piece of red card then a piece of backing paper. I cut 2 smaller rectangles of red card and backing paper and punched the backing paper with the x cut heart corner punch. I mounted the backing paper onto the red cad and the onto the card. For a bit of bling I put red heart gems into the corner heart of the punch.
